Adventure Bound

I can't believe it is already spring.......
Well the sap buckets are hanging on the maple trees!  The calendar says spring began yesterday!

This morning it was snowing.  We still have snow covering the area.  We are just starting to see some bare ground at the edges of the snow banks.  I think it is going to be some time in April before we loose the snow.

Lilia has had some great fun playing in the snow.  As long as the wind isn't blowing so hard to knock her off her feet she would stay out as long as we would let her.

In our Luv 2 Stamp group, Patty gave us a challenge.   We were to create 2 cards and one 3-D Project.  Our project focus was on the Adventure Bound Paper Stack and the Adventure Awaits stamp set.  We were sent a packet to sue.  There was a polka dot bag, heart clip, note card, 4 1/4" x 11" card stock folded in half, wide ribbon, & vellum.  We had to order the paper and stamp set.  I added Very Vanilla card stock, Early Espresso Card Stock, Pool Party embossing powder, and a piece of Coastal Cabana ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.
I made an album for the 3-D project.  Using the bag for the outside cover. Very Vanilla card stock for the pages and applied the Adventure Bound Paper to that.  Album measures 5 1/4" x 4".  The flower is made from vellum -Fun Flower, Blossom, Pansy and Petite Petal punches were used,   Sponged Island Indigo Ink to the edges of the flower.  There are 12 double sided pages.  Photos can be added at a latter date.
The first card I used an craft knife to cut out an aperture for the vellum insert.  Stamped and embossed the saying.  Than applied to the card itself.  On the inside I added Calypso Coral shells.  Fussy cut them out after stamping.
The Note card I stamped the saying directly on a piece of A.B. Paper trimmed down to 2 3/4" x 3 1/4" applied that to a piece of Early Espresso card stock
2 7/8" x 3 1/2",  This was applied with dimensional's to 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" piece of A. B. Paper.  The note card measured 3 1/2" x 5".
I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas to use the products that Patty sent to us.  I esp. love how the album came out!

  1. I really liked how you created the inside of the card - the seashell page. I do believe you cut around the seashells and inserted the blank piece, yes? If not, please explain.
I look forward to more of your postings!
